Sometimes, you just want to find a game where you can lay back and relax with your friends. Maybe you're looking for a place to play games for a little while, then come back to socialize and enjoy a bit of conversation with the people you just played with. Or maybe you're the type of person who wants to get it all and flaunt your bling using pets, clothes or other goodies. In Bonanza, you may have just found the place you want to be.
Created by Insomnis Studios, Bonanza is a game that's long in the making. Based off of the game GMOD Tower, Bonanza is a game meant to bring about the social parts of people and bring ROBLOX players together. In Bonanza, there's one hub area where everyone is able to socialize and talk about whatever, meanwhile showing off the new things they've acquired. Other things offshoot from the hub, like stores to buy things like pets, clothes and hats from, rooms that you can rent and live in, and even an arcade to play different games all made by the developers.
In an interview with the founders of Insomnis Studios, I learned many new things about the people making this game, as well as what was going on with the game.
I asked the main founder, Voltoxus, about how long he had been coding to which he replied, "About 8 years." I then asked about what got him into coding, seeing as it had been such a long time. "ROBLOX. When I was young I played Shakira Zombie Defense and wanted to learn how it worked and stuff. So it blossomed from ROBLOX I guess." He also seems to know many other coding languages, including Python, C#, and Java.
The studio wasn't always Insomnis Studios, and it seems like they've been through a lot. "It started as Fyre Studios about 10 months ago on a completely different project that has since been discontinued. Now it is Insomnis Studios," said Voltoxus. His co founder, Veov_Ekdosi, stated, "We've gone through two teams sadly, due to lack of motivation of participants." Voltoxus also mentioned that Bonanza had been an on and off project for quite a while, but it now seems they're back on the grind to finish it.
Bonanza's alpha is said to release in March of this year, but time could waver based on how many bugs there are as well as how much needs to be cleaned up.
